I think the main reason for me not updating this is because I know that everyone can read it. Something, which initially, I thought I was entirely comfortable with.. but in reality, I don't think I am. So everything from now on will be friends-only, methinks.

I'm going to have an update on the friends list; if I take you off (which is unlikely), then it doesn't mean we aren't friends, as lvejournal isn't real-life friends. :)

TAURUS April 21st–May 21st
After months of what must feel like treading water, you are finally beginning to drown. It’s a terrible start to the year when you wake up on the 1st without a hangover, but still with a really ugly girl in your bed. Happiness eludes you in 2006, but take heart – for what’s better than happiness? Contentment, apparently. So why don’t you just value what you have and be grateful you’re not some poor cow, married with two kids, and living on some poxy estate. Like Madonna.

Happy New Year, everyone!

Charly and I spent another New Year together; it seemed surreal really, as it didn't feel as though a year had passed since the previous one. This year we stood outside in my garden, as all of the neighbours try and be better than the Joneses- complete with fireworks, meaning we always get a pretty display for free!

We let an Octopus balloon that had been given to us by some friends earlier in the week at Birmingham (don't ask, lol) fly away into the air on the strike of twelve. It looked very pretty as it sailed away into the air, with a written letter on the side to Alice and Tori- the people who gave him to us.

Afterwards we came inside and had a glass of Bucks Fizz to celerate 2006. How non-classy are we? xD

Work was so fun yesterday, for once I didn't have to measure any children's feet:D and we only opened until 4.30 due to it being New Year's eve, so in the end I only ended up working for three hours, as she'd put me on the wrong shift OhNoxD. Liz, my manager loved my new piercings, and wants her done now lol. They're such a talking point though, as I was in Salsa (a piercingy, gothy, alternativey shop) and the extremely friendly (bit fit like) shop assistant was saying to a girl who I knew from college, which I realised when she turned round and said hi, how much she wanted her tragus pierced. So "oh" says I... "I have mine done" which then spurred her on to come and have a lookxD. The girl from college, Christina, had her lip pierced, which also looked pretty mint indeed.

Birmingham earlier in the week was so much fun. Copious amounts of alcohol, and I also encouraged other people to get pierced too xD Kez had his tongue done, and Alice had her wrist pierced which my other friend Sam now wants doing.
The travelodge was ok, not as clean as in previous visits, but as an amazing coincidence- Charly and I ended up staying in the exact same room as we had done before:0. Most of all, it was really nice to see everyone. The meal at Nandos was interesting, but the food was nothing new really, which was a little disappointing; as I'd been expecting orgasmic-peri-chicken.

I go back to College on Tuesday :( bah. I've really enjoyed having time off and don't want to go back, as January is full of exams and scary. Ugh.

Going to finish watching my new friends dvd boxset now, then will be doing some work if I can kick myself hard enough into doing it.

My New Year's Resolutions:
*Get fitter
*Lose the 4lb's I'm sure I will have put on after eating all of the Christmas crap food
*Drink more water
*Be able to drive (something I really want to do!)
*Go and volunteer more

Had a busy day today; got my hair cut and coloured which took three hours lol. Several people who I went to school with are training there, including the girl who did my colour- so it was really nice to catch up with her :) Several people from the Grove are pregnant, with one expecting her second baby lol. I imagine Grove reunions (if I ever go to one) being a ton of drug dealing chavs, with "children" who are signing on at the job centre.

My mum had given me a lift into town as she was working, so I went back to the shop to be with her for the rest of the day. She likes it when I go as she can just leave me on the till whilst she does stuff, which is cool. I like talking to all of the old ladies who come in for a chat, as they are fabulous. One woman came in called Sylvia, who is a little eccentric, with her labrador who is named Frank. Frank, bless his heart is 20! and when you stroke his head, he softly sits down next to you and rests his head against your knee. <3 One of the volunteer women said I look like my mum lol, which she says each and every time I go and help.

All of the volunteers are so sweet, especially the ones who you know truly love coming in and helping. My mother sent me accross to the other shop (as she manages two) with some pens, and sitting at the till was this lady called Margaret who I have talked to a couple of times with my mother. She immediately recognised me, and beamed when I did my usual "y'alright [ insert name ]" teehee, and the other lady told me to have a merry christmas. I love old people, they are fantastic.

Then, after persuading a woman to buy a woollen knitted jumper ("oooooooooh a bit of extra conditioner in the wash with that, it'll come up really well" </camp>) and when my mother had come back to look after one of the tills, I then went to the dentists (again) to see whether he could fit me in as one of my fillings really hadn't worked, causing me loads of pain :(

Went back half an hour later, and now it's all done again after another two needles in my mouth. This time I hardly cringed lol, so I think I'm becoming a pro at the pain.

Really like my hair! It looks great, and I lovelovelove the woman who tidied up the cut for me, called Sophie *sends her love* as she is so talented and brill!

My mouth is going a lot less numb :D I've just eaten a whole bowl of cous cous to try and make the feeling come back a bit quicker. Not sure whether it's worked, but the cous cous was nice.

Yesterday I went shopping in town with James, saw Rach (who I ended up coming home with in the end) and her boyfriendo who is so sweet (: they make a very good couple. Got all of my presents!! whey, so I'm all sorted for christmas. Ohyes.

Cardiff tomorrow, which I'm looking forward to, as I haven't been to the city itself before so it should be at least interesting. We're going to a yuletide thing or something in the Stadium, seeing a few gyuk people and yerwhatnot.

You're the key to handcuffs. You set people free,

Owwwww. My teeth hurt as I've had some fillings today for "prevention" according to my dentist, however I have convinced myself that he's one of those nhs swindlers lol. I'm lucky to have a dentist really, especially considering what has been on the news recently, so I shouldn't complain that my mouth feels as though as I have been chewing on a bag of rocks.

Otherwise.. pretty damn good, annnd it's nearly the end of collegeeeeeeeeeeeeee! :D ooh and I booked my hair appointment too! which is fabulous, even though I couldn't talk (from having had injections in my gums).. and my mother insisted that I talked to the hairdreser slash receptionist, who was unbelievably pretty with black (emoish) glasses. So I hope she's there when I go :D

All Time Love

Sometimes, you walk by,
The goods ones, ‘cause you’re trying,
Too hard, too hard to see them.

And sometimes, you don’t find the right lines
‘Cause your trying, too hard, too hard to hear them
But you know what it feels like,
‘Cause you’re like me
And u won’t give up

Till an all time love
‘Cause nothing else is good enough
I want an all time love
To find me… Oh…

Some days, you’re too set in your ways
And you forget to
Shut up, shut up and listen

And some days you just have
To misplace all your mistakes,
Somewhere that you won’t miss them
So stop lying that you’re fine, cause you’re like me,
And you can’t give up

Till an all time love
Cause nothing else, is good enough
I want an all time love
To find me… Oh…

I don’t believe that it’s a failure
I don’t believe that it’s a fault
Cause if everything were plain sailing
Oh tell me – what would there be left to resolve

But an all time love
Cause nothing else, is good enough
I want an all time love
To find me

I want an all time love
Cause nothing else, is good enough
I want an all time love
To find me…

How cute is that?

I have so, so much work to do today. GAH.

On brighter news however, it's my neighbour's birthday today, so many happy returns to her! Her name is Grace and she is 96!

Rawr.

Usually, I never pay so much attention to horoscopes, but my little vice of reading them seems to still be there! They all seem quite true at the moment though, especially the last one. Recently I have been a lot more fiesty, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it is a bit of a change.

Anyway, I haven't updated in a while so I thought I would. This week I'm currently doing a work experience placement at a local primary school; it's extremely fun, as I'm with a year three class :D Weirdly enough, it's really making me consider whether social work is my thang at all :S but we'll think about that one later lol.. my brain is ignoring those thoughts for the time being.

All of the kids are so sweet, especially "x" (no names, as I'd feel rude talking about x on here), but just know that x is beautiful and wonderful and says the funniest things teehee. x is a boy who I am observing as part of my work, so my majority of time is spent with him, watching how he reacts and challenging him. It's immensely rewarding, especially when they prove to you that they have been taking it in. X has a few problems with writing things down, even though he has the most brilliant mind.

One little boy called z brightened up my morning when I first got in, as I'd just walked to school (it's only about a ten minute walk away, but it was freezing this morning at 8.40, so I zoomed there in five minutes) and he was there and said "Good morning!! :D" the second he saw me.

The girls are fab too! I could go on all day about all of their individual brilliances, but I'll save it. teehee.

Listening to them read is very fun, as is helping with spellings. My "curly cuh" alphabet is coming on swimmingly. This afternoon I even had the chance to watch a pantomime.. aww bless them, it was sweet but it went on for agggges. The poor little year three's sitting there for an hour and a half lol. They were all like 0___o by the end.

Came home and actually fell asleep for a bit, oh dear. Tonight I am going to go to bed. I know I alllwayyys say that, but tonight I am. Steve Mc'Allinden from college rang my house, which to be honest was a bit annoying, as it woke me up from sleeping because my mother woke me up to tell me I was wanted, and secondly because he wanted to re-arrange my little mentoring meeting thing, so as I can meet my wee mentoree. Ugh. I don't know whether I feel like mentoring myself lol, never mind someone else! Bah! I'll end up doing it, but never mind.

Sooo, I'm happy really. :)

Oooh and Dave's birthday bash in Nottingham was fab! I had so much fun there :D

Taurus: (21 April-21 May)
The Anger Management classes you were signed up for without your conscious consent are about to end. Your unconscious, in its infinite wisdom, has decided that enough’s enough and thinks that by now you should have ‘gotten the message’ so to speak. So, this is your last week to prove it right. By Friday you’ll be a master at being patient, yet pushy when needed. Assertive when it’s called for. Angry when you feel it, without feeling guilty or at fault. Even for a patient sign like you, it’s been quite a challenge. Life picks up the pace so be prepared after Friday when Mars in your sign marches forward and things suddenly go whoosh once more. Dead-ends, one-way streets and stagnant energy all start to open up and you’ll find that the things you let go of, and refused to deal with, may actually have righted themselves, without any effort on your part. Use this last week to decide which side of the fence you’re on, what you want. Desire is your fuel. Know what you want and you’re 90% closer to getting it.

Taurus: (21 April-21 May)
“Let’s talk about Sex, baby”. Indeed. If you’re involved with a Taurus now, phew! Let’s just hope you’re providing for them, or the sparks are sure to fly. After seeing your chart for the week ahead, Bulls, I’m inclined to seek you out when I’m in need of a mental or verbal pick-me-up. Your mind is certainly in the gutter in all good ways, (who was it who said you see the stars from here..?) Unresolved questions or issues partnerships reappear to remind you nothing is over till it’s over – are you sure you’re through? Other people may flake out more than you’d care to deal with this week – people disappear, don’t return calls, don’t follow up. They may stall you, delay you, cut you off on the road, push in front in queues, but it’s all a test of your ongoing patience and anger management. If you’re being treated badly, then by all means blow it open. Say it like you see it. Be real to be treated real. Just use caution – are you blowing it up? Use Friday’s new moon to say good riddance to the past – drag out your old ‘stuff’ and either recycle it, or nuke it – politely of course…

I keep having really peculiar dreams recently; the other night I dreamt that me and my mother were in a supermarket, then the next minute everyone was on the floor after a tannoy has said there had been a terrorist threat. 0_o I woke up in a cold sweat at 5.30 in the morning, and it took me a few minutes to realise that it was a dream and not reality.

The ex dreams keep continuing too- the most recent was last night when I'd gone into town with friends, ans saw a friend of hers, who basically told me I was a bit of an idiot. lol. Oh dear, they'll stop soon hopefully. I think it's just because I have been so stressed.

Blah it's so gay tomorrow, as I'm going to have to catch the 7o'clock bus into college, when usually I can have a sleep in on a Monday until the 9.15. This is because it's "tides" this week, meaning that all of our lessons are an hour long, and the timetable is all different. My mother is working too, so no chance of a lift with her either.

Work was reeeeeally good yesterday, oddly enough. I was :D because my manager put me, out of all of the saturday people on adults shoes. She also included mee on the "experienced people" list at the sales briefing evening earlier in the week, so that was pretty cool.

Matthew, a guy I work with, was really upset so I gave him a hug and told him that he knows he can talk to me anytime. He's really stressed out as I saw him earlier in the week and he seemed down. My manager didn't help things by the sounds of what I heard as she took him for a wee "chat".

Whenever I feel down, I always make a list of reasons to be happy. :)

Today has been spent snuggled up in bed, but I'd better do some crappy work. Bah. Oh well, not too long left at college now :D I have until the 16th, so only three more weeks until the holidays.

JCB: Nizlopi

Well, I'm rumblin' in this JCB.
I'm 5 years old and my dad's a giant sitting beside me.
And the engine rattles my bum like berserk
While we're singin, 'Don't forget your shovel if you want to go to work!'

My dad's probably had a bloody hard day
But he's been good fun and bubblin and jokin' away
And the procession of cars stuck behind
are gettin all impatient and angry, but we dont mind.

An' we're holdin up the bypass
oh
Me and my dad havin a top laugh
oh woah

Sittin on the toolbox
oh
And I'm so glad I'm not in school, boss
So glad I'm not in school

Oh no...

And we pull over to let cars past
And pull off again, speedin by the summer green grass
And we're like giants up here in our big yellow digger
Like zoids, or transformers, or maybe even bigger

And I wanna transform into a Tyrannosaurus Rex!
And eat up all the bullies and the teachers and their pets
And I'll tell all my mates that my dad's B.A. Baracus
Only with a JCB and Bruce Lee's nunchuckas

And We're holdin up the bypass
oh
Me and my dad havin a top laugh

is so beautiful.

It's being tipped to be a sneak entry for Christmas number one. The band is called "Nizlopi" and comprises of Luke (the guy who wrote the song) and his friend who plays guitar.

As a random: "gets on my nerves" thing: People who think they have the worst problems in the world annoy me so much, they really do. The quote of the week in my planner is something like "Thousands and tens of thousands of people have mastered problems just as difficult as those that now baffle you" and omg, how true for some people.

Oooh a good day today.

Went into work and they gave me what I was owed out of the till, so I'm a wee bit richer than I was! Annnnnd omg Lydia <33333333333333333333333333333333333333333 has said that she will work my Saturday, for when it's Dave's Birthday, so I can definitely go. Whey.

Slightly in two mins as to what to do regarding transport, as if I go from Shrewsbury (direct from College) it will cost me the grand sum of £17.90, whereas if I catch the bus to Stoke on Trent (which is on the x64 route) and get the train from Stoke station then I will knock my fare down to £6 lol. The Shrewsbury one involves going down and up, so that's why it's so expensive.

Coll was alright, and everyone seems unbelievably stressed out so it's nice that I'm not the only one. Matt was like :( so I chatted with him for a bit. Bought myself some of those herbal kalms tablet things, so it'll be interesting to see if they work. They taste nice enough.

Driving lesson was hok, even though I felt a bit sick :S made a few silly mistakes lol but never mind. I have another lesson tomorrow.

Hmm I'm going to get my hair dyed soon; well, highlighted, but I am not quite sure what colour. Getting a bit fed up of the blonde mixture, so I think I made have some definite bleached streaks with a very dark brown.

xD
